Required Documentation to be brought to training:

  • CAP Membership Card (or temporary from eServices)
  • CAP-101 Card w/GES rating - see how to get one below
  • GTM3 SQTR signed off by SQ CC/ES officer - "GTM 3 -Commander Approval for pre-requisites" box and/or "GTM3 - Commander Approval for Familiarization and Training" - as applicable
  • CAPF 60-81 (All Members)
  • CAPF-160  (All Members)
  • CAPF-161  (All Members)
  • CAPF-163  (Cadet Members)

Check-In (parents/ride must not leave until documents are checked for cadets):    ANYONE WITH INCOMPLETE DOCUMENTATION (INCLUDING MEMBERSHIP CARDS) WILL BE DENIED STAYING AND WILL NEED IMMEDIATELY DEPART FOR HOME. 

Dismissal:    

       Participants must be prepared for night ops and dressed for outdoor activity (assume cold/rain). The participants will be training as a deployed UAV Team.  When registering for the program indicate whether you are arriving on Friday evening, or at noon on Saturday. 

Those arriving on Friday will join GT classes on Saturday morning. Bring a lunch for Saturday & Sunday.

Those not arriving until noon on Saturday will need to eat lunch prior to arrival and bring a lunch for Sunday. 

CAP will provide the UAV. You may be a part of the UAV flight crew, support Ground Team, or both. There will also be a debriefing on the recent Washington Wing UAV team’s deployments to Puerto Rico (Earthquake), and to Pago Pago (Typhoon). 

Dress for the weather, and ONLY red lensed flashlights/headlamps allowed. See website for required documents

sUAS Packing list - no pack check will be conducted, but you may refer to lists here for guidance.  For those spending the night, you will be sleeping out of doors, in vehicle/RV (seniors only) or tent/shelter you bring/build.             14:00 Sunday (Remind your transportation!!)

All students attending training will be afforded a demo/eval session the following Saturday, which consists of a proctored exam.

There will be NO separate registration for the demo event.

Successful demos will have the tasks signed off by our SET instructor staff.

21 - 24 March cancellations - full refund/check returned

25 - 27 March cancellation - $20 retention/bill to unit

No show = No refund (bill to unit if applicable)

UOD for BOTH GTM & sUAS ='s BDU/Field uniform (no enclosed classroom buildings will be used!)

Cost includes the following:
     + Training Facility Use
     + Food - breakfast/dinner Sat/Sunday breakfast 

                    GT students will bring/eat their two pack meals for lunch

                    sUAS bring two lunches


     + Fuel/Transportation while at training

      + Accommodations - Senior officers are welcome to bring RV's we have electric/water hookups.  There is a charge - contact project officer. Seniors may also bring tents, or prepare to sleep in vehicles.  Cadets will be housed as first priority for shelter.  Cots to be provided.  Ground team trainees will build shelters, weather permitting.

*Special dietary restrictions cannot be accommodated (please bring your own special foods)

**No cost reduction for those furnishing their own meals

Due to storm damage at our normal location, FEST will be conducted at Valley Camp, in North Bend WA
